My friends s3 was burning alot of oil and i had already done the
head a few months back so i told him we would have to do the
rings aswell. He got all the parts. New rings shells and bolts
and we set to friday. Now this was running fine and only burning
oil other than that it was fine.

That must have the deluxe model with removable 'little end'
inspection cover ;D. Amazing sometimes how these old Land
Rovers keep running sometimes... >rcker<

I know we couldnt belive it no other damage to see and running
fine. He said if he didnt know me he would have got rid by now.
Ive done a fare bit on it so fare. Full respray, new clutch, recon
gearbox, reconed the head, new uj's in prop and now the bottom
end. He wants the front axle swivels doing next. All good fun.
