300tdi onto a series 3 box

The plan when I have sourced the lightweight is to fit a 200
tdi, but as they are a little thin on the ground, am thinking
about a 300 tdi. Have read that this is a more complex
conversion than the 200 tdi, if so, what is the difference?
Anyone know of any lightweights for sale, cant access for sale
section yet *help* :smiley-furious:

HI, I am new here , I am putting a 300DTI into a series , I have
started with a bare chassis , I have chopped front cross member
off and put power steering on .
I am not sure I would enjoy doing it with bulkhead and bodywork
to contend with , If I totalled the hours to cut all the old
brackets off , make up new parts , mate engine to gear box and
drill bell housing , trial fit engine/gearbox and tack weld
engine mounting - remove and finish welding . I would say 4 full
days , but I do have a pillar drill this also includes power
steering plates and brackets , I did work out a good way to mark
where holes need to be on bell housing .
