19j into a 109 petroleum

Just collect myself a sweet running 19j for bubba. I was just
wonder what engine mounts I would need. It came with none as the
chap had used it his. At the moment 2 1/4 petrol resides where
the diesel will go. Its a series 3 btw.
Any help gratefully received!

We swapped a 19j to petrol and then back again and dont think we
changed the mounts all? but i think Simon said the mounts for
19j were more heavy duty than the stand petrol but i could be
talking out my arse.

Not sure if 109 petrol mounts are different to 88diesel mounts?
But I have put a 19J into an 88and this is How it was done.
There should be a mount that bolts between the fuel distributor
on the drivers side of the engine. Leave that in place. Remove
the passenger side 19j mount and fit a series mount with rubber,
then on the drivers side fit another series mount and rubber (
placing the mount upside down) now chop off the driver side
chassis mount, lower the engine in and mount it to the gearbox.
Now tack the upside down series mount on the drivers side to the
chassis and unbolt it an remove the engine. Then weld it up good
and proper and drop the engine back in. Plumb it up and make an
exhaust for it as the series one will be to restrictive. I use
s*#tpart exhaust parts and some creative/coercive tactics to get
it in. I also used standard series radiator etc and it works
fine

where should these pipes go to? An oil cooler? if so what do
they look like and where would it be mounted?

Where should one and two go to?
Also do I need a new starter?
I would be really great if someone could answer these if
possible, even better with pictures.
and if possible a picture of how the exhaust attaches to the
manifold.

Hoses in first pic are for an oil cooler. On the 19j the cooler
is built into the rad.
Had a 19j boingy a few years ago, after 4new pistons new fuel
pump new turbo new hotspots in the head,rebuilt head. Rehoned
bores. Then a recon block. It was still the biggest lump of crap
of an engine I've ever know!!

Awesome! this one was a runner and its got to better than my
overheating fuel guzzling 2 1/4 petrol!

The hole in the side of the pump is for inserting a timing pin;
I'll try and get a picture of how it is filled in on my 12J
tomorrow. The pump will have a feed from the filter and a
return... Again I'll give it a look tomorrow if nobody comes
through before then.

I think the The white thing you are refering to is a vacuum , I
just blanked it off with a cap as I don't have anything needing
a vacuum as yet

The exhaust should push up onto the turbo exit pipe and is
clamped with a big exhaust clamp
