Minor update now my hands have warmed up enough to move them! I
have fitted a heater (from T7 designs second hand and its good!)
Replaced the dodgy glowplug and have got the temp and fuel gauge
working. Glowplugs come on the key as per original engine
:smilewide: even the full beam light works!
I need to source another siren compressor as it seized up but
the blue light works (covered by a sneaky sock!)
Still considering a set of bargrip 9.00s but concerned by
everyone saying how awful they are but they look well good!

If you really want 900s at least go for Petlas (or continentals
as they are sometimes called). From my experience you 'can' use
barslips but I would personally rather keep 750s then spend
money on them.

Be careful when buying Petlas (think they are NT3's), they come
in different speed ratings with some only being suitable for
agricultural type trailers being low speed rated...
Otherwise seem to work well, I know someone who runs them on a
101 ambi in the winter.

done a bit of painting, replaced the door tops and gave them a
quick lick of massey red from a massive tin i ve had for ages,
then gave the outside of the rims a paint.
I have got a 18kg gas botttle to use as a compressed air tank.
Just need to connect it up, change the oil in the compressor and
give it a go see if it works! oh and il need an airline to plug
in...... :smilewide:
still got intercooler to fit, tidy some wiring and a million
other small jobs!

Great work! You have given me inspiration to try get my battery
from under the seat to in the engine bay with my 200tdi. Where
have you located the radiator feeder bottle?

ah i dont have a rad feed bottle! it is a tight squeeze leaving
the tray in, real pain to fit the engine round it!
Right today i fired up the compressor! :smilewide: I had to
replace the push fit adaptor and fuck me its quick.........I
currently dont have a air tank but i can use it by leaving it
running but il have to keep an eye on it as its well quick. In 2
seconds i get 80 psi and it goes up to 200. So i can pump it
up, turn it off, use air and restart if need be. Its awesome!
Just need to get a tyre inflator thing and some air tools!
Il fit an air tank and it will make it even better!
