Ive been playing and got lights etc working. Engine is typical
2.25 diesel, front crank is pissing out etc so tdi cant come
fast enough although i am oddly enjoying plodding up hills at
       25mph with a big tail!
steering is excellent kind of believe the 45000 miles!
few pics of my million switches and the oil cooler for the
compressor at the front and where the winch used to be and the
       pto.

Right i ve had a week off work and its been a nightmare putting
this 200 tdi in! easy bits were removal of old engine and
bolting up the new one, mount was easy to weld on. Had real
problems with the water pump bolts as 2 of the long ones sheared
off. :2mo5pow: spent ages on it and eventually removed the
timing case totally after drilling the studs out the welding a
nut on to get them out of the block. anyway thats all done and
sealed up using silicone stuff as paper gaskets dont seem to
seal properly, i imagine as they are cheap shitty thin ones now
not real ones. :WTF. had the sump off twice after a hold rusted
in it, welded it and it leaked so did it again. So after 5 long
days i have had her running for a few mins. Tomorrow i need to
make a temporary intercooler pipe loop, do a temp exhaust and
make an accelerator cable and other various bits and bobs. Il
get some pics tomorrow as i ve been far too busy to do any!
really hope it was worth all the hassle! :giddy:

Right a pic update. Engine is in but smokey on start so a head
gasket change is in order i recon soon. All electrics now
working i think........... :giddy: Been using her every day as
my only car! steering is superb and its comfortable. Just a nice
list of things left to do cosmetically like door tops etc. Im
going to get the sirens going today!
you can leave the battery tray in but it was a right tight
       squeeze getting it past it!
