Wooden Pallet.....

Hopefully a wooden box pallet will arrive by palletline tomorrow
and with a bit of luck the driver won't be Indiana Jones, the
box won't have a swazstiker on it and most hopefull of all, when
I take the top off it won't melt my face.
If the contents turn out to be a worse oil processor than NIAB's
current motor it will be consigned to a massive storage
facililty aka the scrap yard.
Fingers crossed for a decent 2.5n/a defender take
out...........and remanufactured doesn't transpire to be
'remanufactured ( for the MOD) then fucked up (by the MOD)'
.........becasue I'm lazy

Don't worry Nuggett; these days it will have been fucked up
before the MoD even get hold of it, like just about every item
that the MoD procures. :banghead

Arrived late ish yesterday evening so didn't have time to really
look at it; I took a a quite peak under the monster box lid ,
the rocker cover gasket had obviously given up/ shifted like
they do, I had to use a spanner to turn the engine and it did so
smoothly which is good ( i reckon).
Will get it out today and have a proper look..............
PS. The frame to which the engine is bolted is attached to the
base of the pallet and is sat on bigger rubber mounts than the
engine will sit on when its running???? Belt and braces!!

I once sent an Armstrong engine back in a crate similar to that,
when it got to the stores it was found to contain nothing but
house bricks :eek:

Well, its green-ish and, ok, its not a tdi but hopefully if its
a good un then it'll do niab well. Easy enough swap ( I see what
you mean now Mr. FT) for me to do and keep the 'off the
roadness' to the very minimum ( I need to be filling the back up
with deer this time of year and my alternative is a) a tad
thirsty and b) got carpet...) .
So, in due course I'll see if I've bought an engine oil
processor or something better........
