       Running on and backfire

Just a little issue with the petrol engine. It runs on when you
stop it followed by a back fire(sometomes). I now I'm thinking
its possibly timing but it does the backfire on Lpg too. Any
       ideas?

re set the timing and might as well do the carb whilst your at
it then see what happens

       Sounds to far advanced.
Get it warm, slacken the dizzy turn it anti clockwise until it
starts to run rough then start to turn clockwise until it
sounds rough again. Back it off until it sounds sweet. Should be
around half wsy between the two points.

Ok il give it a go. Cant understand the Lpg now was working fine
now it won't run on it. Il try the timing and see what happens.

Get it running properly on petrol before buggering about with
the LPG. You've got a known good ignition system that way.
