Not a clue but I do know that two people can lift one without
       too much of a problem.

Very. I managed to move one on my own and would estimate 75 -
       100kg

Well I managed to lift one out of a chassis on my own by lifting
it an end at a time, moved it on a sack trolly but could not get
it up the 5 steps at the side of the house on my own.
Strapped it to the sack trolly as they are an odd shape and
       weighted awkwardly.
One strong person can MOVE it just, but I think it is really a 2
man Lift if you want to get it in the back of a car or similar
for the sake of your back.

Taking the brake drum off lightens it a fair bit.
As said, it's just about possible for a one-man lift, but not
       really advisable!

Don't do what a friend of mine did years ago.
He put a sling round the gearbox and round his shoulders and
slid the gearbox off the engine.
The gearbox was heavier than he expected, so the gearbox ended
up on the ground, and he followed it through the chassis ending
up bruised and battered on top of it.

Probably 50-60kg, fairly easily handleable by yourself, though
as has been said it's easier if you've got an able bodied
assistant to hand. I've done numerous solo gearbox swaps on the
88", moving the box into the shed on my tod.

It's easily liftable, if you can pitch a good centre of gravity.
This is easily done by fashioning braces from a strap.
However, the problem comes by way of the fact that your average
person doesn't have legs with the gait of a container-lifting
gantry; this is something of a bar when shifting in or out of a
       chassis space.
Play it safe and use two people, a sling and a couple of poles
(as in bars, not the people).

yeah well at the moment its purely for transit purposes, my
gearbox is fine at the moment but this is going free & i figured
       a spare cant hurt ;)
any jiggery pokery in / out of the landy will be a different
       game :)
