Petrol to diesel conversion

Anyone had experience with 200tdi swap? Main thing I'm after is
some advise of people's experiences with DVLA and if they
required an engineers report before they swapped the V5.. I head
some didn't need it but the DVLA are getting tighter.. Also
anyone know anywhere who would do an engineers report in the
Worksop/derby/stoke areas?
Cheers
Jonathan

HIstoric vehicles do not need an engineer's report, or even any
report for an engine change.
Non historic in all probablility do, but for the price of a
couple opf pints, your friendly local garage could write
confirmation of engine, number, capacity and fuel type with the
added few words that "it appears to have been competently
fitted" , on their headed paper.
That should do the job

Done it
I changed the engine on the Dormobile, they came back with some
load of cock, I sent it back again with the chapter and verse as
to where is says that historics are exempt and my new log book
came back all sorted.
Got the words from Pat n Rob I seem to recall

Whats the series 2 club got to do with the OP wanting to know
how to go about complying with his legal obligation to inform
DVLA of the change he is making - thats nothing to do with any
club or forum :-?

Nope, more a question as to why you are bringing other forums
into a technical discussion (although I suppose I did bite as I
already know the answer to that :wanker: )
