Hi
After sorting the seating, another problem arose,vibration
and knocking from the rear propshaft.I had already decided to
remove the Lift shackles on the springs and fit standard
shackles.
The previous owner fitted them to improve grond clearance. My
opinion is they only increase body clearance, if you want to
increase ground clearance you need big tyres.
Parabolics and extended Shackles will only destroy ujs and
standard props.
After fitting new shackles, the prop was removed. When the front
captive bolts were undone they started to turn, so the hanbrake
drum
was removed along with the flange. Correct bolts were fitted
along
with a new propshaft.
I thought with the reduced height i would be able to use the
local
car parks. No such luck its still 3inch too high.
All this work enabled me to get a few days running before the
engine started to play up, but thats another post.

'tis indeed but you won't be able to count them.
Could you call your motor something else rather than wife
beater? I know it's not good karma to rename motors but wife
beater is just a bit.......
.....wrong - that's it :-[ I can see how you came about the
name, but you the least you could have called it Stella or some
over shitty beer thats brewed by interpish.

At least the chequer plate has been disguised with matt black
paint.
And the wheels are not Gay.
If i remove the chequer plate and rivets will it drop in bits?

The chequer plate is the least of your worries..... Why under
the headlamps though? You thinking of your health and safety
when it's stood on it's tail, as you clamber from wing to wing?
The spats, the wrong hubs (obviously allied to VERY wrong axle
parts), also the puerile and vacuous braking system... steering
wheel... but it's your motor I guess. Please warn us first next
time you put a picture up though!

The plates were probably sold for a large amount of money to
someone called Roger.

But they are being mercilessly bummed.
Each to their own n' that, but from the photograph I'd say that
extended spring shackles are the least of your woes..!
