80" chassis Parts and Bulk Head Parts

Anne know what Radfords chassis parts are like and are like on
costs?
Also where I can get decent repair panels for a 80" bulkhead
(1951) but I have the chance of a light wight bulk head in
decent condition for less than £50. So was thinking of giving
them both to my fabricator and see what he can make up?
Opinions and past experiences welcome.

IMHO they are two different beasts all together, have a look at
FT's thread on his rebuild of his 80" and you will see why.
However I'd be interested in a Lightweight bulkhead if it's OK!

I wouldn't know just thought it might make it easier to repair
my 80" one. I'll ask my mate how much Stu as he was letting me
have it at mates rate.

Radfords stuff is excellent quality, really nicely made by
people that know their stuff. The gearbox crossmember is very
similar to a later series one, just cut the gearbox mount ears
off.
There is a loooooong lead-time for bulkheads though. The y
re-use the original stamped centre bit and door/bonnet hinges.
Best to order one when you start the resto; it should be ready
by the time you are ready to put it back on.... A lightweight
bulkhead is so far off from what you need it would be a waste of
time even trying IMO.

When i repaired the old chassis i used radfords crossmembers,
they were absolutely spot on - got them within a couple of days
too.
