       Smashed theiving tow rags help

       Some theiving tow rag has just smashed my drivers window on my
       series it has the Ali military early 110 door tops any idea
       where I can get a replacement as I think the windscreen people
       will be useless

       I got a replacement glass for mine from my local main dealer.
       Not cheap, but there the following day. They're still current
       fitment to military Landies, so you shouldn't have a problem
       getting one. Blanchards etc. might be cheaper, but by the time
       you've paid carriage and taken delivery time into account there
       might not be much in it.

       Or a plant glazing company - told they can make flat glass for
       any size/shape of window ?

       Absolutely, I had an old hardtop re-glazed once by a local plant
       glass dude, quite cheap too.

       If you go the Plant glazing route he will probably use laminated
       glass. Illegal to fit to a side window and to be honest you
       don't really want it in there. If you ever find yourself in a
       position where you need to smash the window to get out of your
       vehicle (accident, in water etc) you immediately realize why its
       illegal to fit it...... wagfinger Stick with toughened  ;-)

       Immaterial really. No fucker could get through a gap that small.
       I would be more concerned about the hole for the plastic catch.

       Update chaps glass sorted £35 delivered from Blanchards thanks
       for all your help now I just have to fit !!!!
