I had a '77 popular plus 1.3 as my first set of wheels. Bought
for £375 from an auction in 1986. Same colour as that one too.

I got through plenty of 2door Mk1 and Mk 2 Escorts using them
for short circuit racing, great sideways fun :smilewide:

My firts car too. Bought it off my brother for £350 when he went
to Australia for a year, put a load of miles on it and the daft
beggar gave me £350 back for it when he came home 'cos I'd put a
radio and a new exhaust on it !
