G.B.Springs and Axle Strap

Just fitted some G.B. parabolic springs to Elmer the Lwt.
Axle straps are on very tight on the rear axle (due to springs
pushing up/down more)
Q: What to do.......
A: Just leave as it is.
B: Just take them off.
C: Are 109 ones longer, so should fit better.

Take them off. Axle straps defeat the whole point of having
parabolic springs, i.e. greater articulation.
Yeah, it's supposed to break the dampers (unless they're pro
comp and the like, which have internal stops) but I never had
any break when I had standard dampers. But then you're supposed
to fit uprated dampers anyway, otherwise you'll be killdificated
as soon as you drive it.

Fitted Monroe Gas shock, but Just seen theirs two types of Gas
Shocks..
Ive fitted

I've got Monroe gas shocks on my motor with parabolics. Never
had any problems with them at all

standard shocks with paras on the 88. What are these straps you
speak of? None on mine

Standard shocks and GB paras on my 88" too, not a strap in

Looks like the straps are coming off. Guess it's better than a
