       NO! Winter is on hold. I work on the drive and I haven't got
       Jude finished yet!
       (I do have the 'other' 2 Land Rovers but I won't mention them!)

       I have to admit for reasons that will be apparent later I could
       do without the usual snow covered fell commute this year.
       Yesterday was easy enough though. Had a couple of jap shite
       things stop us and say the road's impassible.
       I said "Were you slipping in 4wd?" thinking it could be shot ice
       after all it does happen. The response "No this is only a 2wd
       one" resulted in instant let outerage of my clutch  and away we
       went before I yielded the urge to mock them.
       Followed by a drive over the fells with not a single bit of
       wheel slippage. How are they so shit?

       Just going to resurrect this thread as it seems that we are
       heading for another "big freeze" this winter, I suppose if the
       doom mongers roll this out for long enough they will get it
       right.
