What steelies do I need??

Hi guy's, I've started to tart the Beast up and want to get rid
of the Disgay wheels I'm currently using and as I'm fitting new
tyres for the next mot I thought now would be a good time.. I
have a pair of 110 rims but the offset and inset is the same as
the disco wheels, so what choice do I have for steelies with
more offset other than the rare as hen's teeth 1 ton or 130
rim's ???

Somebody put a post up with all the different offsets, it's
somewhere around here just have to look!

You would like to think it's that easy wouldn't you. I did , and
I got to the point where I could have hung myself through utter
utter boredom, so I asked the

IMHO Panthershaun
Standard 110 rims - ( not much different to a 109 rim and
tubeless IIFC) :thumbs: ( tyre size limited???)
HD Milli rims ( wolf(e)) - slightly more offset: :thumbs: (
tyre size, more choice)
130 rims ????? Not sure of the spec so won't comment
Modular - ( mega gay in silver and just plain gay in black -
large offset (tyre choice should be higher but DQMOT)
Remember your steering radius; ok, so it's shit anyway but it
depends what you are doing with it and where you live/have to
park etc etc etc etc
Minefield of controversy.
Pinch of salt.
Nuggs ( I know nothing, except to post in the correct section of
the forum next time) :smile1

Short answer - the only options with more offset than 110/109
5.5j rims are:
130 rims/1 ton rims/IIb rims - these vary greatly in offset and
price depending on which exact variant you want.
Wolf rims (gay)
Other aftermarket tat, e.g. modulars (even gayer)

stick em on the 110 rims you have (run as tubeless) and you will
have the perfect set up :thumbs:

Just fit proper, standard, LWB rims, as God intended. All this
offset bollocks is for boingies. A proper LWB rim is designed to
take a 7.50x16 and that's all you'll ever need.

I'd agree on the rims, but I'm sorry to say 7.50s are SLTs too.
Real men run 8.25x16 tyres, which are of a manly diameter, and
also still fit on a 5.5j rim...

Some that aren't bent and were cheap and readily available. Just
because they happen to be slightly wider than standard is
neither here nor there. If I'd been offered a set of standard
wheels that were in as good condition when I needed new wheels
I'd have taken them.
All this buggering about searching for this and that fancy rims
off forward controls n that is unneccessary.
