Hello from Suffolk

Hello from darkest Suffolk
I have a ex military Series 3 109 that I bought from Fleabay
nearly two years ago now as a means of transporting all the
cuttings/green waste etc. that we produce from our garden
throughout the year along to the local recycling centre. If any
of you are familiar with the Lowestoft recycling centre you'll
be aware what fun I have getting in and out of there on a
regular basis :WTF :o
Having bought Bertha as my neighbour calls her I discovered on
taking it to a local LR specialist to have the footwells and
rear crossmember replaced that she'd obvoiusly had a dodgy MOT
done by the previous owner as the rear spring outriggers and the
chassis behind them was as rotten as a rotten thing that had
gone very rotten :o
That was all repaired/replaced she's all very solid now ;D
I've hand stripped the military paint off her and she's
currently a delicate shade of etch primer ;D
Since then she's had parabolics and poly bushes fitted all round
along with a fairey overdrive, and she's currently having all
new rear brakes and some lovely Zeus front disc brakes (along
with Wolf wheels the clear them and a Heystee servo) fitted
:giddy:
The back of my garage is full and new and used goodies to
hopefully bring her back to her former glory after a few years
of abuse by various owners wagfinger
I post some pictures up in due course
Dave

Hello from Suffolk! I'm work in Lowestoft, so if you see a blue
109 up near the Town Hall, that's me...
Lowestoft recycling centre, know what you mean, it's a right
:smiley-furious: pig!
Best thing, is when you get a eff off heavy item out, and some
of the 'assistants' tells you to carry it to the other end of
the building!
:)

Hello Nomad...I'm also new to the forum and own a Series III 109
ExMod Military. I've learned a lot from reading the Tech
Section and the responses from the members. You selected a
great forum.
