Whatever happened to Otly?

I thought I'd just let you know the most recent news I had of
Otly.....seen here before I betrayed him and sold him on.

I got a somewhat desultory phone call from Christopher Robin in
Toblerone Land. The authorities there had refused to recognise
Otly as being a 1982 vintage vehicle. Insisting rather than it's
registration date of the early 21st century stand. SO "NO!" it
cannot live in Switzerland.
I hope they're proud of themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I was told that Otly was being purchased by a charity
(don't know which one) and shipped out to Africa to do "good
works".
I think that's super.
Wish I knew where he was now.

What a shame that it couldn't go to the peaks of Toblerone Land.
Charity work is a worthy and noble alternative 8)

I thought so. Actually, I'm jealous. It'll be better travelled
and have lead a more worthy life than me! ???

I could have sworn I saw it in a picture in one of the mags
during the London Brighton 2011? May be mistaken :-\

Actually Mucky, you may be right. I didn't see it myself but it
was the upcoming pictures/report than triggered Christopher
Robin's telephoning me. I understand that he and Otly got
around quite a lot over the years.

It was indeed, owned by a chap called Graham Leach - he won best
Series III at the L2B run.
