MOT time again

Only a couple of weeks late, I put the FFR in for it's annual
check-up. It failed, but only on a corroded brake pipe, worn
drag link end and a damaged fuel cap seal, which I didn't even
think they bothered checking. It even passed its emmisions test
without me having to change the carb, which is a first.
So, it's orft to Steve Parkers on the morrow and an hour or so
underneath and a ticket shall be mine on Monday :)

I started with the easy bits first, 2 new fuel filler seals,
then the drag link ball joint. The brake pipe was stripped out
and a quick blast to the local c*r spares shoppe soon had be
back at the BIG shed forming the convoluted bends required to
route the new pipe. That installed and away to bleed the
brakes... what a surprise when the bleed nipple sheared orft!
I'll see if I can bleed from the next connection to the
cylinder, or else through the other nipple, before I go any
deeper...

The brake line was failed, as I managed to crush one of the 90
degree bends, it was a pissy crap copper bit that the locale c*r
spare shoppe made up for me. A replacement from Steve Parkers
and a near side rear wheel cylinder sorted the brakes. The FFR
now does stoppies!
A couple of runs over the Snake to Sheffield sans MOT and decent
brakes were somewhat exhilarating, but totally necessary due to
me finding a nice 'squeeze' over that side of 't'ills...
