Riding as the driver in a car tonight, between Markham Moor and
Blyth, about 18:30, we passed a pair of Land Rovers (The one in
front had the WRONG springs and an odd wing that said ECOVERY or
summat on it) and the one behind draggin' a maggot, neither
driver managed to even glance sideways... Tracyl had eyes
focussed on the quite heavy traffic ahead, Icey was probably
deaf from an AC/DC overload.
(Sorry Jim - couldn't resist and couldn't be bothered to type it
out again myself ;D)
PS. We pulled along side each and waved, sounded horn and even
mooned them - neither driver noticed! But then again, we were in
a boring Francophile auto :haha:

Well made it home eventually after waiting for the rain to abate
during packing up procedures ...
We were somewhere between Blyth and Markham moor when some
drunken neandertroll drove past waving like a wizards cuff in
the breeze ...Gawd knows who or what [s]you[/s] they were on
about Jim :rolleye0012: .
Top weekend as ever shame a few folks had to drop out but hey ho
a good crowd of diehards turned up AND hopefully had a good time
.Not much laning was done BUT plenty of drinking and having fun
including a cracking visit to the Air museum AND a VERY special
taxi run by the Lancaster "Just Jane" .
It was also fantastic to see one of our old friends as Joskin
of this parish and his family joined us for Halloween
celebrations on Saturday night >rock<
Big thanks as usual to all the usual suspects that helped share
the burden of preparation AND tidying up etc,as always it was
very much appreciated .
The bubble car museum was a cracking wander and they had some
pretty funky cars in there and were very helpful and
accomodating over the weekend,and will hopefully welcome us
back again possibly at a slightly warmer time of the year.

Yet again another very enjoyable weekend with ollr getting away
from it all, bbq's and fire and of course getting drunk :giddy:
but since now having met Davina I thought the best cure for my
poor eyes would be to set about working on my broken rolled 90

I managed to drag myself up to lincs on Saturday, got there just
in time for the taxi run and all that followed.
Had an ace time; much thanks to the organisers, chefs and all.
For those interested; Lozza gave me a brief history of Just Jane
and its once attendance at Lavenham Airfield; cos its just down
the road from me and the fact I didn't even know there was an
airfield there I looked it up:

Was ace to see you Nuggs ...good call on the airfield at
Lavenham too ...The aircrafty types on here "need" to head back
to Lincs for a spot of airfield bashing come the warmer weather
i reckon :lightblb:
