So I'm attempting to rebuild my transfer box with a ashcroft
high ratio conversion. I am attempting to do it by the book
(haynes manual) which says "if the high gear end float isn't
within range (0.15 to 0.2) replace the thrust washer". Done this
and its still around 0.43 and i can't find anywhere to get an
       oversized one. Help please.

pretty certain that there are shms available to sit behind the
thrust washers. Try part no 561197

561179 is for adjusting the intermediate gearcluster endfloat.
High gear endfloat must be checked with the circlip pushed
       firmly against the gear.

       Hi Wrighty
I've got the same high ratio transfer box to do. I've got
myself another transfer box to allow me to build it up with the
Ashcroft bits without having to take the original apart, which
is still on the 88. That way I still have the original as a
spare in case I fuck it up/don't like it (delete as required),
then I can return to donor case to Ashcroft to get my deposit
       back.
Let me know how you get on.
