The fog on the Tyne

Had to take a leccy motor up to Northumberland Quay at North
Shields today.

The fog was coming in when I snapped this large container ship.

There was also some large passenger ferry but the fog became too
thick and I couldn't get a pic.

Evidently cruising for some trade, posing such a question.
Indeed, all this talk of ships, containers and limp-wrist
smileys has reminded me of a particular occasion in my
lorry-driving days. I may be mistaken when I recall picking-up a
hitching individual looking not unlike yourself, when once on my
way down the A14 on a night-trunk to Trinity Terminal at
Felixstowe.
My passenger asked if I would be able to bring him back and drop
him off, after he'd earned a couple of grand being the
sex-receptacle for some mightily frustrated Argentinian sailors
whom he'd heard had docked in the Suffolk port.
I told the chap (I have no actual guarantee it was you, H), that
he had for as long as it took me to exchange a 40' box for two
20's, or he'd be left to take to the waves and have his own box
perpetually filled.
I never saw the chap again. Was he you?
