       Manual says......remove

I'm changing the slave and master cylinder on the Stage 1. The
manual says "remove the master cylinder", but I can't see how to
get at the last bolt :smiley-furious:
Is there a clever way or should I just take out the whole pedal
       box?

       I just did mine.
I defy anybody to get to the bottom bolt with the pedal box in
       the car.
It only takes 5 minutes to get the pedal box out (as long as the
bolts will undo) and then with pedal box and master on the
bench, it's easy to get at the bolts to separate them.

:smilewide: Thanks for that, I'll burn the manual as well while
       I'm at it!

Bend a spanner and clamp it to the pedal with a big g cramp or
welders clamps it's fiddly but possible

I changed my clutch master cylinder without taking the box out.
Piece of piss. Just wedge a spanner up from inside the footwell
       I think

I got someone to change the boingy one for me and he did it
without removing the pedal box.The masters on series three and
boingies are the same.I was quite impressed the way he did it as
the servo gets in the way of removing the pedal box.

I've done it, it was some time ago, IIRC I stuck a spanner up
the hole from the footwell on the inside.
What I also recall is that while a CV type master can be got
out, the older CB brake masters (i think that was what it was I
was fighting with) won't. I can't describe just how frustrating
that discovery is when you have just spent half an out fooling
about undoing the bottom bolt in situ to avoid taking the pedal
       box out... :2mo5pow: :smiley-furious: :-?
