       Calvin result, any ideas?

       I've just put a chassis number into Calvin and this is the
       result

       '7 or more significant design modifications (is this still a
       land rover)' what does that mean? I have only put a few into
       Calvin and they have all been boring and exactly what I
       expected. But this one seems odd.

       Late chassis suffix do this to CalVin.

       Suffix H Series are the last S2a ones before the appearance of
       the S3 type. They do have some very special items fitted. Like
       e.g. Hubs with big bolts ( metric I think ) , full syncro
       gearbox, etc etc.mtheyveven have a special parts anual
       supplement.

       Series 2 variants helpfully used a chassis number suffix letter
       to denote various changes throughout production, suffix H being
       the last. There is a list of some of the changes here:

       The really only notable change with suffix H was the same larger
       wheel nuts and studs as the series 3 got. Some station wagons
       got the all syncro gearbox people usually refer to (incorrectly)
       as a series 3 box and the Salisbury rear axle was specified in
       the parts catalogue for 109 models however there is some debate
       as to whether everything got that or not.
