FFR Oil pump

Does anyone know if the oil pump in a 2.25 petrol ffr motor is
any differant to that in a civvy motor?? Wondered if it was any
bigger due to oil cooler.

I think its the same as normal - the cooler does require any
extra oil volume moving, it just sends it via a longer route.

Same pump, same gears internally, just different end plug on
spring of valve. Makes spring of ball valve sit with a bt more
pressure, thus works the system with a bit more pressure, which
helps getting the stuff around the oil cooler and lines. Needs
to be worked with the relief valve in the feed line to the
cooler ( brass valve thingy )

Thanks for the replys. Looking at putting wsl's old engine in
ffragle as its a known motor.will swap all ffr fittings over.
