Please stop encouraging him!
Now he has finished replacing the facias on the house, he is
allowed a day at the weekend for spannering so should start
making some progress again.

what's he doing messing around with facias, Fencub will be too
big for his toylander if he don't get his finger out (needs the
training wheels before he gets the real one)

Some good news on the Stagey! ;D
I bought it with no V5 and the chassis number (Dumb iron
replaced) & VIN plate missing. (looks to have been removed for
bulkhead refurb).
It still has number plates on it, so I did an HPI search - all
clear. Ran it through DVLA checker and it was last taxed in
1991. So it was only on the road for less than 10 years.
I was still unable to apply for a V5 without the VIN and HPI on
provides a check on number provided. >:(
After much headscratching, I found a way to retrieve the VIN via
a friendly MOT tester for the price of a drink ;D
New VIN plate ordered and V5 application on my desk awaiting
postage. Happy days!
This one has fought me all the way and I haven't really started
on it!

Mpi in a series would be awesome, even more so if from a Rover
220ti 8)
I would double check the bellhousings though, look for Discgay
(sacriliage I know) MPI to tdi conversions to check what the
person did with the box. If it drops in then you are laughing,
should fit a series box pretty easily.

Had a look into this as a pal runs an 820 turbo in his LR based
buggy. The LT77 for an MPI is completely different and would
involve some major engineering to make it fit a series gearbox.
A have another plan which I am looking into. Time will tell if
it is workable...

I do indeed like that idea ;D
Before that would have been just met with an appreciative smiley
however circumstances have changed!
