Rudely awoken from a slumber
By: west4x4 Date: September 8, 2012, 10:57 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Well what to say a combination of no money and a big dollop of
CBAness saw my series 2A back lurking in the garage not doing
alot. but back in the depths of winter some inspiration was
found. The goal was to drive it across europe to the Czech
Republic for the Birmabright weekend. And in time (just it was
completed tho lack of finance ment i couldn't go in my truck
instead teaming up with Landyboy)
So back from European travels ROM (thats his name original i
know) was pressed in to daily service as my only motor he's no
weekend warrior no sunny day special. The daily commute is a 40
mile round trip which 99% of is on duel carriageway in addition
to this daily use w'eve also been traveling this summer visiting
Worthing on the south coast. The beaches of north Norfolk and a
trip to Cornwall via Southend, South London and East Sussex all
adding up to approximately 3000 milles since mid May! All by
2.25 diesel power not all been easy peasy all the hub seals went
meaning no brakes and we had a little issue with keeping the oil
in the sump while touring Cornwall!
Anyway enough guff heres some pictures

Nice to see a battered 2.25 diesel pickup in use as a daily.
Apart from the colour, yours is identical to mine.
