LT77 speedo question

What speedos are LT77 users using please? and with what drive
gear and has anyone got one that is any where near accurate
please?

3.5 diffs, lt230 transfer and 750r16 and 1000tpm is about right
for me.

And what colour drive gear is it? Is it a series 2 ,3 or boingy
speedo?

1000 tpm will be a speedo out of somthing non-landrover - maybe
a triumph. I've got a reliant rialto one in Bitsa, which claims
to be 1000 tpm, but for me it seems to be about 20% slow...
(granted I'm on big tyres). I'm not completely sure, but I think
my gearbox currently has red speedo gears, which give the
slowest output speed (i.e. if I fit blue gears it should make
things at least a bit closer). I'm also on tyres which are 10%
bigger than 7.50s as well...

Alex do you want period looking dial type speedo or will
anything accurate do?
Because you could just do like robin has (RMS) and fit a cycle
speedo, you just need to make a mount for the sensor and the
magnet, the advantage is that you manually dial in the tyre
circumference in mm so you can adjust it to be very accurate.
I know a lad who builds very fast kit cars and specials and they
often fit cycle speedos to save weight, and they pass the MOT!

Yep push bikes, you can get them cheap on the bay.
