Sorry to say
you all missed a brilliant weekend >rcker< the weather was
absofuckinlutely brilliant, great company, good laughs and
general pisstaking
A heartfelt Thanks must go to HHH for organising it and sticking
with it, i had a great weekend :thumbs:
friday i hooked my tin tent up and dragged it to Sibbertoft with
Big Ears loaded up with firewood and random other junk , rained
all the way there right up till i started putting the legs down
to get set up, rain stopped and the air warmed up
Friday night got the firepit lit and opened me drinkies whilst
waffling with good company (harryhedgehog, Sorcerers Apprentice
and Wilkobob) and proceeded to drink and enjoy good company till
rather late
Saturday dawned a bit later than it should have, bright, sunny
and exceptionally warm (i'd been drinking remember :neener) and
after a couple of smokes and cups of tea it was time for some
careful roaming around the pit, first thing that happened was i
drove through a puddle (oops), it was a tad deeper than i
expected and the bow wave broke over the bonnet and crashed
against the bulkhead :agh luckily i'd hit it at the correct
speed/momentum and rose straight out the other side, it seems
they've had the diggers in again and slightly remodelled the
place, so now even more care was needed before getting carried
away, found a location or two for a couple of photos but spent
most of the day just watching others or diving back to me
caravan for more tea (did i say it was hot )
Saturday night meant the fire had to be relit and my bottle of
pop had to come back out, more waffle and laughs whilst sweating
my cobs off until the small hours of Sunday morning (i think i
said it was hot) and getting slightly tipsy again
Today (Sunday) was laning day, another lad turned up (Kev) and
we set off to our first lane (by the way it was still baking
hot, 109s turn into an oven ) did our first lane and i then got
a phonecall, another lad had arrived on the site (Olaf) so five
minutes discussion on the phone and a meeting point was arranged
half an hour mebbe forty five minutes later we're all gathered
up and back off to the next lane, the rest of the afternoon was
spent trundling around some rather interesting little lanes that
i hadn't seen before, a couple of which had some rather
interesting doglegged entrances/exits which took a little care
to get through but were done with minimal fuss
then it was back to the site to load up and go our seperate ways
(I'll let someone else tell you about the BYT requirements rofl
)
i'll add a couple of photos later but you'll have to put up with
cameraphone crap

Twas a grand day out, :thumbs: apart from the bit on a lane
where the big gay homo pulled up behind us in that foreign
silver thing. ???
I gave him an OLLR flyer & told him this was the place to come
when he got a real motor. :gay:
