KLB915k returns to its old home

dont know if anyone rembers but i found my dads old land rover a
while ago well its now back here after 23 years is my 30th today
and my other half and other famaily went and bought it back in
march and hid it till now so this morning it turned up im my
yard,
the land rover was bought new by my uncal in 1972 for £900 it
was cheap as was a unsold order for export he ran it for 10
years then sold it to my dad for £1500 as they had gone up so
much from new this was still cheap it was then sold by my mum in
about 1989-90 when my dad died and it cam mot time and it needed
work, the garage who we used was my dads best m8 and he bought
the landrover for £800 as my mum didnt like driveing it and it
needed welding, i rember sat in it crying when we droped it off
and brian who had bought it saying it was always there and i
could see it any time (i was only 6ish) he then ran it and on
from there his sons id kept seeing it in there yard on and off
often sitting there months unused then the other year it
vanished i later found out it was a mile down the road it had
been moted and in daily use i told the guy as i know him if he
ever sells it i would have it so in march he said it was for
sale but i couldnt aford it till summer and my gf didnt want me
to sell my 80" to buy it now i know why she had got her brother
to go and buy it me and they hid it till today. and here it is
best birthday pressy iv ever had and it drives well looks well
ect witch to me wouldnt have mattered as its just the one
landrover i just have to own. many thanks to helen collin
(colin397 on here) her mum and dad and my mum for all chiping in
so im told.

I even treated it to a wash yesterday. It had to look its best.

hers another pic this time from one of me in it (im the one
behind) taken before my dad died around 1986-88 and the other
unsure on the date sadly not my dad in the pic its a guy how
worked for us a bit iv yet to find any more pics of the landy
dont think ill find one with my dad in it too though :(
one thing on the to do list is to get the roof striped and
painted cream again but no rush.

Speaking to my uncal today and he told us how he had a bloke
weld the footwell before he sold it my dad and the guy melted
the fuel line got out the garage and 400 yards and it stoped guy
wouldnt fix it so a repair pipe of about 6inch was put in to
repair rather than a full new line went under and sure enough
the bit of a repair is still there probly 30 years on.

next to find out if the engine is the origanal one ect see was
it you who can find that out albert?
