So, what do you hate about your Land Roveur?

Okay then, much has been written about the joys of Land Roveur
ownership.
But as I'm bored tonight after a day of driving up hills for no
good reason, I thought I'd ask you all what you hate about your
hunks of junk.
Awful comfort, rattles, draughts, low speed (not me
:rolleye0012:), don't count, as we all live with these 'niggles'
for the cause.
My pet hate, is the pointy bonnet catch, that I always crack my
head on at the most inopportune moment, often causing me to cry
swear uncontrollably, - often in front of the vicar.
So, what is/are your pet hate/s? :smiley-furious:

Anything that involves spannering. But then that would apply to
any motor, not just a Land Rover.
I did away with the pointy bonnet catch years ago after nutting
it too many times. I got a military rad grille (that doesn't
have a hole for the lever), a military blanking plate for the
hole where the pointy bit goes into, and a hasp and staple to
keep the bonnet shut.

Lack of an adjustable belly space between the steering wheel and
driver. My 88 seems to be shrinking.

Nothing I really hate. Had S2s, S2As, S3s, 88s, 109s, V8s, Tdis,
boingers and the 80 is the best of th :blahblah :blahblah
:blahblah
A new roof would be nice but it wouldn't look the same and it's
going to be bastard draughty and cold in winter.
Agree with you on the bonnet catch on 2s and 3s. I always
worried it'd make a real mess if it fell on you, especially with
a wheel on top. I put side catches on PRX but didn't change the
grill or owt like Dave did.

The only thing that I can think I don't like about Dougal, is
the fact that he doesn't self-clean! ;D

I now have a complex about the bonnet catch impaling me, thanks
guys.
I hate having to duck a bit to see out the windscreen.
Everything else is fine, but that's just a pain in the neck.

The way the doortops always fall apart, so that one day you hit
a bump, and the sliding bit of the glass falls out and smacks
you on the nut...

What do I hate the most? In most cases. The previous owner.
Especially if that means it's the Solihull factory.
