Scrapyard leafers.....

I have three scrapyards which i visit on a fairly regular basis,
two of which often have land rovers of the boingy variety, but
occasionally, unfortunately, also have land rovers of the pure
variety. I have started photographing any leafers which come in
and will put all the pictures from now on in this thread.
Today there were three: An 88" 2a/3 bitsa.

A very sorry looking light weight, still with military spec
mota.

And a very "fuckedaboutwith" 109 station wagon, which had been
turned into a pickup and had its six pot replaced with a 2.25
petrol.

This 88" was one I saw there a while ago and has since been sent
to the great bean tin factory in the sky :(

It had a pair of them, you can't see the other in the photo but
they are like new tread wise but heavily perished.

Hi mike would like to know are they still there and the
location, am after a few small bits and you never get any thing
like them up this end

Does the 6 pot have it's original tunnel cover? I could be doing
with one of those.

Hi, they are still there (except the bottom one) and he tends to
keep them in the yard for several weeks so shouldn't go in a
hurry. They are at Malcom Drews scrap yard in St. Day, he's not
the cheapest scrappy around but is usually fairly reasonable.

Not sure as there is a mini engine and other detritus in the
front, I will have a look if it's still there next time.

In a similar vein, there is a fairly straight decent S3 88 2.25
diesel station wagon in a scrappy in farnborough at the moment.
just needs a drivers door and bulkhead outrigger and a coat of
paint.

stickers!

It was covered in posters like this, glued to the body. They
were all of a similar vein, and as far as I could work out,
bollocks.

How much would they want for it?
Could you get it? Where abouts is it etc.
