Ellie, The elephant (IIB)
By: Moogling Date: July 29, 2012, 4:02 am
---------------------------------------------------------
So, I've gone and got a new project. It arrived on thursday!
I started work on friday, and picked apart the wiring today,
cutting it off when it went back towards the rear as it was in
very bad condition.
otherwise, it's fairly good. Holes in the bulkhead are starting
to show as it comes apart!
Can't decide how to strip paint yet... sanding discs, or
nitromoors.... I do hate nitromoors...

Much of the pre british telecom GPO stuff was Green I would be
supprised if this was originally the white/grey colour? It would
have likely been resprayed yellow to match the new Telecom
colours at some point.

Yep, sorry, I mean to say, original factory colour, before it
went to GPO the chassis cab appears to have been white (mist
grey?)
The body appears to have been almost olive green at GPO (maybe a
faded bronze green) then painted yellow by BT (round doors and
behind the truckcab it can still be seen) , then back to Bronze
green by a Previous owner.
Cheers for the compliments all!

Rained like anything here today, so grabbed the dash to clean
up, think it could do with a re-paint though :(
