I sent my logbook off when I went from petrol to diesel heard
nothing yet....wonder :popcorn: reply I'll get then

I've just sent the 101s v5 off again. To show the change to a
3.9. Bet they write back again asking for a letter from a
garage.

My 'friendly' independent land Rover garage today quoted me £120
for such a letter for my insurers. :wanker:

The insurers have been fine, for both the increase in size in
the 101 and the Tdi in the 88" It's just the DVLA that are a
PITA.
It'll probably confuse them that I sent 3 V5's in one envelope
too.

I sent a letter conformation that my Champ was built in 1956 not
as first registered 1967,when it was sold off from the Army.They
sent back a logbook with my new engine number ,because I had
fitted a replacement."No questions about the garage that fitted
it But they didn,t change the year of manufacture.I rang themand
was told,they hadnt got the letter.After a heated discussion
they said they would accept a copy and gave me a person to send
it to.She held her end of the deal,and now I have a logbook that
proves my car is MOT exempt in November.

The real pain in arse is that the insurance people were fine
with the change. I have a friendly mechanic that can write a
letter, but why should I?
