tdi still won't start from cold

Changed fuel lines, lift pump, leak off pipes, can't find any
air leaks, even put a check valve in and it still won't start.
It'll start ifi hold my foot flat on the go pedal and crank it
over a million times eventually. Even wired up the glow plugs
and no difference. Getting to the point of putting a petrol back
inor sell the fuckingheap of shit :banghead

Check your wiring and 12v feed to stop solenoid. You may find
that you have a voltage drop to the solenoid when cranking,
causing it to close and not letting fuel to pump.
Check voltage at solenoid when cranking. I know that when
converting a diesel s2/s3 to tdi, you get this problem, as there
is no clean feed to take to the solenoid that doesnt dip when
cranking. Petrol looms are better as the coild feed is clean and
       isn't normally affected.
You may find that you have to wire a feed direct from the
battery with a switch to avoid a voltage dip.
       Hope this helps,
       TF

On mine there ia no ignition feed when the key is in the glow or
start position...so i wired a realy that is fed from the starter
wire to feed the stop solonoid while cranking. I had to use a
relay to stop the it back feeding the starter while running....I
did it like that to avoid having wanky switches all over the
dash and compex starting procedures....even the wife can jump in
       and start it up...

I had the same trouble as Toby described when I wired in the
       Shilpa lump.

Well the voltage to the stop solenoid is spot on, used a wire
straight from the battery and and it made no difference, but I
did find the bleed screw on the filter housing was stripped so
drilled it out and tapped it M8 and used a cap screw with a new
copper washer so that could of be it but i'm not convinced

Are you sure the solenoid is working,it could be open circuit
(ie coil failed) or maybe jammed.
Check for open circuit with a multimeter on ohms.
Check for a decent activation click when powered, and if
necessary take out the solenoid to prove it.

Did it used to run, and what were the symptoms when it stopped
       running?
Once started, does it run OK?
