       Large petrol powered V8's

       As some of you will know from some of my posts over on the old
       forum , My mate runs a v8 powered model 'T' replica at the drag
       races ...
       Over the last year or so it has undergone some subtle  ;-)
       changes including a new chassis AND new engine spec .
       Following a problem with a valve a couple of weeks or so ago he
       had the engine in bit's and i ended up giving him a lift to get
       it back together again
       So thought you might like a looks inside it  ;-)

       It's a 10.6 litre Big block chevvy blown and nitroused ....
       1500 BHP with a whiff of nitrous and using c16 high octane AND
       1500 foot pounds of torque in a car that weighs less than a
       1000kg's including the pilot  ...
       plans are for it to go methanol next season AND it's street
       legal  :eek:

       Should be down to a 7 second run soon following the fitting of
       new valves (£80 a piece....and there are plenty of them ....16 )
       and a new custom ground cam .

       Ooooo that makes me and MrsG want to get back racing again. Its
       been a while since the 1996 world finals (Mrs G come 4th in
       class) best reaction time of 0.652 of a second.
       Just watch those blower belts, I remember seeing a crewman
       loosing 3 fingers on one :eek:
