After I have moved and at least partially finalized the
renovation of the house I can finally put some love in the 109.
And if Kev, Toby and Alex do come over, we can do the engine
swap here!!
Oh yeah, besides the fact that the engine is fucked, the dynamo
is totally fucked and the starter partially fucked she started
first kick...even after 8 weeks of not moving! God I love that
109!!

Rog 176 found the tilt for me about a year ago, it's apparently
new old stock as the rearwindow still was covered with paper and
it looks really good. Also, the rope is still from hemp and
looks old but unused, not sure if I'll keep it or swop it for
new (maybe elastic) rope? What do you guys think?
There are some marks on the tilt from being in storage all those
years but otherwise very good! I need to pop rivet some tie
downs to the tub and then the tilt is on!
Small Q: Should the sharktooth rail be pop riveted to the window
frame, or will just bolting at the corners with the doortop
brackets (and at the rearview mirror) be sufficient?

In between shifting gears, the revs dont drop (or very slowly).
Also, I have very limited travel on the throttlepad; maybe 3

accelerating??
Toby, Scruff?? Any idea? Did we miss something with the setup?
Should I grease something that I forgot? As said, the
accelerator cable is new!

Still don't really like the combi of Marine with a green tilt
but I still fancy a respray in Bronze Green or Dark Bronze
Green.

There's a spring on the trottle arm, don't see one (if I recall)
on the pump though....

Went to the shed in Stompwijk tonight and tightened the pinch
bolt on the pedal. Should be ok by now I think, but will take it
for a spin on saturday.
If I move all the linkage by hand (bulk/engine bay), all
operates like it should be so I still got no idea why the engine
keeps revving if I hold off the trottle. Maybe I fixed it with
the pinch bolt in the footwell but we'll see on saturday.
Also, I tried to pull the tilt somewhat tighter but that isn't
that easy. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix the rear,
haven't quite found out where to put which rope :oops:

this evening, probably fucked up stalk...so to Wales without

- hardtop swapped for proper hetrovering full tilt (new old
stock, ex army)
- new doortop on left handside
- swapped all fluids and greased the prop
- lots of small bits and bobs that I forgot

I bought them a couple of months ago from Paddock spares, they
are the ones with the black raised letters. I mixed some white
and yellow and hand painted the letters for the periodic look.
Think they came out quite good!

Next thing on the to do list is finally fix some holes in the
bulk and fit the GB parabolics that Toby/Kev/Alex/Munkie brought
along!
Then at some point a respray in proper DBG. Wonder if ICBA to
get all this done before summer...
