Got one in the yard at work now. We were meant to be cutting it
up for scrap but my boss decided to keep it.

Good that he's not scrapping it. Now get him to paint it in the
original colour of Bauxite (or red oxide would do). ;D
Any traces of the BR number left on it? The number would be on
the planks at the bottom LH side, on both sides.

The Grounded Van Bodies thread had fallen off the first page of
       Anoraks - aagh! No!
But it's back and with an extremely rare van. We've already had
one in the thread but here's another ex BR meat van.
Next to the A629 near Penistone.

A more ordinary van. Could be ex-LNER or LMS

We've had this one before but the pic was crap so I stopped to
get another of this ex-LMS van near Mirfield.

We already incorporate railway coach bodies in the GVB thread so
I'll merge the threads to prevent competition. :smilewide:
I don't have much of a clue about passenger stock so do you know
       it's origins?

^^ Anchor-mounted tank. Not that unusual in itself but that one
was owned by British Railways and numbered in their departmental
series, which was rare back in the day as the railways never
owned many tank wagons. They were usually privately owned.
