I'm waiting for someone to say "don't wash it whatever you do!
patina :blahblah :blahblah"
It doesn't look to bad under the algae, what's the chassis
like..?

I won't say 'don't wash it'
Instead, I'll say (IMHO) the 109 station wagon one of the best
looking bodies available on a Land Rover.
Quite jealous actually...
Good luck!

That has potential as they say. Good luck, with a bit of a jet
wash bet it looks new under all that green shit.

Chassis was OK (repairable) it had been a working vehicle so had
been kept up to lots of new outriggers, some of the recent MOT
patches where poor and have been replaced, almost finished the
chassis welding just front of dumb irons to sort and paint, it
is a bit rough in places but should last a few years.
Bulkhead is a bit rough needs usual posts and footwells, also
centre behind clocks has been roughly hacked by PO to fit a
nissan diesel (now gone).
Body work is at least straight problem is it has been painted
over with Java green cellulose (i think) which is peeling, the
DBG underneath has a nice patina so i might be trying to strip
her back.
some more pictures for you as everybody likes pictrues.
After a wash and brush up looks darker and better than it really
is.

Just a few more pictures as everybody likes pictures, I am
making slow progress so hoping updating this thread will spur me
on over the winter. I will keep trickling pictures on here in
order progress was made so to speak.
With 4 kids, work etc I only get a few hours at a time to work
on this, it has mainly been done between 8pm and midnight when
the kids are asleep! Problem is you can't use a grinder at 10am
in a built up area, welding is tricky in the dark.
Get some funny comments from the dog walkers at 11pm in the
rain, with a torch on my head still spannering :haha:

following day, i had to save it.

Interior, believe it or not it is mostly all there just covered
in oil and rat shit.

Bulkhead, notice how the centre section (including main top
rail!) dash and drivers footwell have been chopped to fit a 2.8
nissan :( this took some sorting, but stragely enjoyable to do.
Oh and front crossmember :WTF

Those springs of mine will look real nice on there! In fact even
the blown ones would be a considerable improvement.
