       Leccy fans for tdi conversions

After dragging the maggot up to Wakefield and back I have come
to the conclusion that i need a fan fitted
So, as there is limited space (goes of outside to measure) to
       fit one,what have you fitted?
My intercooler is the TD5 type and mounted in front of the
rad,so ideally a skinny sucker behind the rad seems the way to
       go.
       Yours,
       Hot and cramped.

I seem to remember that NiteMare uses anything from a Citroen BX
or similar.... I guess you'll need a pusher, mounted ahead of
       the rad.

Right, Ive had a look and because of the pipework to the
intercooler crossing diagonally across the back of the rad im
going to have to fit one in front of the intercooler, which of
course is limited by the lights in middle and the bonnet
       catch/lever
I have the pair of disco fans which i tink are pushers,so unless
anyone comes up with a better solution will cut the frame in
half and fit/bodge one of them.

I've been using a Daewoo one (don't ask which model) with the
Shilpa unit, & intend to continue with it when I finally finish
       the TDI...

as already said i use a pusher fan from a Citroen bx in my bitsa
but that doesn't have the td5 intercooler just the 200tdi one
       out of the way
my intentions with Big Ears is to fit a 10-12" sucker fan on the
back of the rad' (engine side) but i've been pretty lazy so far
and not made a proper effort to find one i like, i want one from
       a Rover, probably a Metro
i don't think the 200tdi needs a massive high flow fan as it
generally runs so cool, at present i'm just using the cab heater
to help keep temperatures under control
i've no guage to read so i rely on my passenger squealing when
her leg burns (she hasn't yet) to tell me it's overheating ;D

Not pretty, & I had to chop it about a bit to get it to fit.
I have it wired to a switch, I've hardly ever used it, but it's
       reassuring to know it's there.

I got a pair off a strange rover and fitted one in front of the
rad....i used a through fin fitting kit and an adjustable
thermostat off egay...only room for one fan so i have a spare...
there is also another fan mounted just behind the grill mounted
on a frame as a back up used for heavy towing......Having a
       queer engine and all....

       Cheers guys
Ive chopped the disco double fan frame up and made some simple
bracketry and will mount a single fan tomorrow :)
As i have used 2 x 90 bends for the top hose im thinking i can
get a piece of pipe to go between with a temp sensor in
So, how do i wire the whole thing up?
Ive stuck 12v to the fan so i know which wire is positive and
which earth but what else need i get/do ???

Depends on the switch TBH...... Some "earth out" and some "make
       live".....
