Just To Show How Boring I am...
By: Rory Date: June 20, 2012, 1:40 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
… one of my other hobbies
My latest (nearly) finished build, the old Italeri He111z. Built
OOB and using the kit decals except the tail markings, which I
am awaiting a decal sheet of, to enable me to put the last 2 on
the inboard side and fix the 4 rudder ark thingies. Paints are
as usual, Xtracolour for the greens , the blue and the yellow
and Humbrol for the white and odds and sods. Chipping was done
by throwing salt at a wet airframe and then rubbing it off with
a finger before the white had hardened properly ( about a cup of
       tea later).

I did use pre cut masks for the canopies otherwise I would have
       never have attempted this build.

Brilliant, top job! I never had the right pair of hands for this
and my kits always ended up half-bodged together. This is a
       proper build
An interesting piece of history behind each of these German
monster-flyers. The Mistels always fascinated me as a teenage
       WW2 warbird fan.

That's what I was thinking. Couldn't they have been seperated at
       birth?
Wonder what advantage it has over two planes?
       Nice work btw.

Was that a real aircraft or did you just join two Heinkels
       together for a laugh?

apparently it was a tug for really big gliders
the only problem being, if the gliders were fully loaded it
couldn't get them off the ground without rocket powered
       assistance
(the basic gist of things found via google)
