Was his MOT Tester wearing blinkers or did he hand over a large
       wedge of cash?

Must be a member of the congregation I reckon from what we saw
       at Leafers Jim ollr
A bonnet stay would of come in useful twice now

NOG used to be great. Now it's pretty fucked. All the bits that
are any good ae dropping off as he drives it. That lad only
knows one meaning of the word "tight".

NOG has always been a bit sheddy, I remember when Paul had it
and it looked pretty good but was pretty hanging underneath. At
least John has put it on a galvy chassis so the foundations are
       sound now...

Not NOG, it was Bitsa... which has a bonnet stay (and a thumping
great spare tyre on it). (Which does prove, as I have opined in
the past, that a bonnet stay is of no value what-so-ever in
restraining a half open bonnet that the wind has caught).
Driving down a moor in the middle of no-where, into the teeth on
a hurricane (well, felt like one), and somehow a gust of wind
managed to lift the bonnet, despite the weight of a 12ply 8.25 x
16 truck tyre and rim bolted on top... applied the brakes, and
       it went back down again.
Investigation revealed that the weld attaching the bonnet catch
prong to the bonnet had partially let go, so it was able to
"evade" the catch... it's all back welded nicely now.
I'm still amazed that the wind can lift a bonnet with a tyre
       that heavy on it...
