Yeah - I am wondering what to do as well. The Series One is
ready to go, but I have only got a tent and its not looking good
weatherwise - in fact, its pissing it down here - I may see if
things improve for tomorrow...... :gay:

Ok so I went (and bumped into Pirate) but it was a quiet show -
not many crowds and the trade stands were pretty bare. Exhibits
seemed a bit thin on the ground too, but a great turnout of
Stationary Engines were there.
Some snaps - starting with this in the car park - the number
plate is very similar to Mogbass PJ's 'bessie'

Went late Friday afternoon and it was raining, it rained most of
the night - field chewed up and told we couldn't move the Landy
on Sunday morning - came home at lunch time wet and miserable !
Got a shouting at by health and safety officer for having kids
in the back of Land rover when we took it into the arena on
Saturday - she had really bad attitude.

Lorna I was watching and listening when the yousr was in the
arena ,didnt see the H&S though.We didnt go into the arena as
the muppet with the mike tried pulling Champs to pieces last
year .Until I answered him back them he wouldnt speak to me.The
two Champs actually sit side by side in two garages next to each
other so they are always together.

John - they must remember that it's your vehicle that you have
been good enough to put fuel in and take the effort to go to
their show that brings in the paying public - it's a shame about
this particular ladies attitude - left a little sour taste in
our mouths - ah well life's too short !!
Tried to put a few photos on from photo bucket but only seem
able to get one of my brothers girlfiend's Dad's rather nice
Landy - I'm too tired to try and work out tonight why I can't
get a full album on - i'll have another go tomorrow

Last year I got told off for driving into the arena in
reverse,and then going through up the box in reverse.I was in
third going for fourth when they got a bit snotty!!.Most Champ
owners practice driving in reverse its a party piece.I,ve had
mine up to 50mph in reverse its scary but fun.I usually start
mine on the handle as well to show how smooth the engine is.

You see Lorna all the more reason to stick to proper " leafer
only" landrover shows Like LATP ....
Very little "elf 'N' Safety involved ...
just a sniff of common sense (like not trying to drive up a near
vertical slope in a Volvo ::))
That's all that's needed .
Besides we don't have any Nazis on here ...he went and invaded
Poland

H&S are killing these events! Steam rallies were always much
more fun when I was a kid and arena events (with steam engines)
went on all day regardless of a bit of wet grass! Really annoys
me, but I suppose these days there are a lot of people without
common sense!!
