Last Saturday four of us took our Land Rovers over Gatesgarth
Pass and Stile End. We meet some Disco's on Stile End using
waffle boards!
We didn't do so bad considering or landies ranged from 1954-1958
Have a look

Excellent! That is not an easy lane. I have to admit that when
Chippers, Allan and myself drove it we did need a waffle board
on one occasion but in mitigation the lane was very wet so there
was almost no traction.

It also looks as though there has been some repairs done since
we did it. Loose rocks from where the wall had collapsed were
all over the lane as I recall.
