       Happy burfday to me !!!

After a secret mission down sarf (Worthing) I now have me a 1965
       FFR 88 ;D
We hired a car transporter yesterday and did a 450 mile round
       trip to get her home.

She needs a bit of work, if I'm honest with myself, she needs
quite a lot of work but I aim to have her up and running by
       Leafers next year.

To get her water tight (for now) I need to get hold of a tilt
(her's didn't survive the trip up North) and a drivers side door
       top. Can any one help?
On the inside of the passengers door I've noticed in stencilled
yellow (walty type letttering) ANTWERP, so it looks as though
she's spent some time in Belgium. Who knows she may even have
been to Berlin !!! I want to find out as much as I can about her
history, could anyone point me in that direction? She was a left
hooker, but has been converted to a rightie.
On the log book though it states that she was built in 1965
she's not classed as a histoic vehicle and is currently on a Y
plate. As I want to make sure that I can get her Road Tax free,
has anyone had problems doing this with the DVLA?
I'll post on here as work goes on. FIRST JOB: remove that name
plate. I've yet to name her, but FREDDIE it is NOT!!
Cheers Stuey & Mel for the "heads up" and help last night
       gettting her down the drive.

Get the certificate from Gaydon and that should prove its age to
the dvla and able to keep the y reg too, that's what the po of
my 61 ffr did and still on its k reg (by the way I nearly
       brought Freddie too lol)

Get the certificate from Gaydon. Then, ask DVLA for an age
related number. You might just get an interesting one, though it
       will not be transferable.
I had a D plate on my 1966 ex mil series, suites the older
motors far better than a later number IMO.
       pete.
       Happy birthday too.
