I thought they were standard safari door handles for the time,
however I've seen somebody flogging one on Eblag claiming it to
be a Dormobile speshul one!

Mine has one too, and have seen them sold as special ones for
campers too. I always thought they were just standard LR
offerings ???

Rear diff change today, I've been meaning to change the diffs
for a while now. It had / has 3.54 diffs in it and I felt that
it wasn't driving just right. 3.54 diffs with O/D on a standard
2 1/4 petrol was just a bit too much. Decided to swap the back
1 first as it is the easiest to change :rolleye0012:
Anyway, seems a bit more pokier on bottom end and it's just a
tad nippier too :smilewide:
I saw somebody on another forum having a go about the poor
quality diff gasket with holes in the wrong places, I can see
what they were talking about.
Paddocks 'unknown' brand, bought beginning of last year on top,
Bearmach 'ancient stock' on the bottom.

I don't know what they are playing at with the gaskets, but
they clearly do not fit. I was happy that I found an even older
Bearmach one!

Hi,
Read my rant in the other forum, where one of the mods meant to
need to tell me I am too stupid to fit a diff gasket and it
would " stretch" or " shrink" as needed once I would grease it.
The very same mod, who apparently always trys to stop rants and
dodgy parts reports of Paddocks items.
Its funny, but it certainly looks like he might have some
connection?

Found the magazine that had a little feature in before, dug out

It's this guys son who sold it to us, wish he had never bought
a compressor though!

As nice as she is now, it looked fantastic in its patinated
original paintwork! Shame, but still a top find and a nice
original vehicle!
