Pretty jealous of that haul - the blinds are JUST what I am
looking for. Got all the other bits I want, apart from a proper
tap like that! Mine's been removed as it was obviously broken or
something, so I just have a hole in my worktop :( Any blinds you
won't be using? If so, can I claim first dibs :P
Where was that RJ Searle badge mounted? Mine has the same badge
on the rear that says "Conversion by" and then on the passenger
side of the seatbox is the near-identical "supplied by" badge

Don't know about the blinds Mate, even though I got the 2 door
ones, they didn't have any of the metal fittings with them as
they were just in the back. I think the PO had just finished
restoring it and hadn't got round to fitting them. So I've had
to sacrifice 2 of the blinds fittings for the door blinds, then
I have to make one up for the rear door of mine, which will be
fun :)
The badge was on the passenger side of the seatbox (Mel found
it), there wasn't one on the back but I did take a picture of a
'rear' one at LATP last year, and it's slightly different to
the one I have got:

No one will notice. They seemed to have very small runs of
badges made, because every Carawagon I see seems to have a
different array of badges affixed to it.

Yes I was thinking the same, it's all getting a bit anoraky
isn't it? I really need to get my arse into gear and set up my
website ??? Must have had the name registered for well over a
year now ;D
Anyway aside all that, all I think I need now are the Jerry can
holders for the front bumper. I'm sure I read / heard somewhere
that Mick was thinking of making some, but I haven't heard
anything since...

I mentioned it on the christmas do. He had a few pairs of each
type in progress whilst I was there a few weeks ago, with a
rather fancy piece of kit for making the roll-eye hinges for the
top. Give him a bell or a PM or something and ask how it is
going on. They did look very good.

Just a quick update for today, after having the blinds sat
around the house for a couple of weeks, they've dried out good
and proper so I thought I would spend 30 min this morning just
fitting them.
2 seconds saw me swap the seatbox lids over, stroke of luck it
was the same colour, the more keen eyed ones of you will see
there is a piece of wood on the seatbox lid obviously to stop
the seat slipping forward, not that I ever had that problem,
but it was there and it's original Carawagony so I thought I
would have it and fit it:

These were what I was going to use as replacements, I had got
the kit, but a bit of ICBA never got me round to actually
making some blinds up ;D

Pretty straight forward four screws on each really, happy as
chuff. Haven't got round to fitting the rear door one yet as it
will mean the cutting down one of the blinds I got the other
week ::)

Well I haven't heard anything back from the guy on CASPA, going
to have to do some research and see if I can track some details
down...
Anyway back in the land of motors and all that, Mel took it for
an MoT the other day, passed, no advisories again! :smile1
On another note, got a Dormobile unit the other week. Realised
why I don't like Dormobile stuff, it's far too 'metally' not
really happy with it, but I've ended up putting it in without
damaging anything so worse case scenario is that I use it then
flog on after I've made something more appropriate:

What I did though, was measure up the cut out in the lino and it
seemed to be a bit of a match, which got me thinking that a PO
had a similar cabinet in there before:

Then, if you remembered from earlier I 'liberated' some blinds
off of a Scrap Carawagon, which was handy as I was missing some
blinds so I finally got round to cutting up one of the blinds so
that it will fit my back door:

Sacrilege cutting up a Carawagon blind? Probably, but needs
must and all that I knew it's had a roller style blind on before
as there was still one of the metal brackets still fitted when I
first got it and the only way I could think of getting it
replaced was either hunting high and low or get one from a
Scrapper and make do, well anyway the latter is what happened
and 'tis now fitted:

The only thing I'm missing now is the Jerrican holders off of
the front, if anybody knows of where you can get some from it
would be much appreciated!
