Hello from Norway

Been lurking around for some time and thought it was about time
for a hello.
I live in Southwest Norway and have a 1975 109 FFR from the
Norwegian Army.
It is in pickup form at the moment and is very useful around the
house.
I have a 2.5 nad and a long time plan to put it in.

Welcome along dude, they work much better outside rather than
round the house. :popcorn: Looks a good motor has it got a good
heater.

Welcome from the Czech Republic, I'm over on LRForum as well ;)
Ex-Norwegian Army LR's are cool, quite special 8)
Good strong Webasto heaters for the front AND rear cab
(originally all were hard-tops) plus piping in/out at the front
to flush frozen engines with warm water. Weren't really loved by
the army, though, from what I've read.

Useful around the house? Where do you live? A fucking Palace?
The turning circle on mine confuses a Street, let alone a
house.................

I see i didn't write it correct.. rofl
Its usefull around the outside of my house. :)
As 1960SII said it is a bit special.
It is not a military, 1 ton or civilian.
Its a mix made to Norwegian specs.
Its was the largest order of LR in 1974/75
I have the hardtop and will use it after its painted.
I have removed the webasto because its petrol and I'm going
diesel.
Winter equipment, it still has a curtain in front of the
radiator. It is operated from the inside of the cab.
As for turning circle it has a one ton steering box I think?
I believe it has another gear exchange than normal 109?
The first 109 to N army were delivered on 9 16 r16 from the
factory.

Yes, they have the One Ton/FC shorter-geared gearboxes, so not
really fast :) And yes, the 9.00x16 tyres are one of the main
attractions, aside from the many unique features.

Have you found a exmill 109 ?
I saw you add in LRforum.
The guy I bought mine from has a another original 109exmil.
I can send contact info if you need it.
I don't think there is many original in good condition left.
The frames were heavily undercoated by the army and it hide a
lot of moisture and rust.
Mine has a civilian gearbox, but I have a exmil gear box as
spare.
I was talking about sttering box, I think that also is
different.
