       Afternoon all,
Once more the compound has blown out from the exuast where the
downpipe meets the mainfold, anyone a good tip on making this a
       better seal?

       you may snap the bolts
Seems to seal ok when I did it

I managed to get a pair of pliers into the top of the flange and
raised it all round then used some cement and bolted it up, that
seems to have held it tight.
Another tip: AVOID BRITPART HEADER PIPES!

Don't use any sealing compound on a bell flange joint. It's a
compression fit, and and the flange squashes as it tightens.

A very small smear of silicone will also help and it stays
       flexible :-)
