Trl was 2.5 n/a , Humph's been 2.5 n/a twice , overdrive
improved the drive a fair bit ..... R380 improved it alot.
ok you can't drive flat out "everywhere" but its enough for me
and what I do , I doubt if it ever returns over 30mpg but I
wouldn't have thought its often below 25mpg , I can live with
that , and I rekon it suits the rest of the vehicle too

I swear I've met more people with leafers who have non-stock
engines fitted than those that do, but the poll says my
experiences should have been very different? Or is it that
those with stock engines never venture that far? ???

2.5 petrol for me, with gas and a few other toys. Used daily
still!
Nelson the P4 has a TDi if he counts!

The 80" still has the original 1600 in it and goes pretty well
for what it is as Mr Scruff can vouch for it.
The series 2 109" now has a 300 tdi fitted as i had one laying
around and the 4.203 was messing about. I personally reckon that
it was the best thing i have ever done to the landy.
Then the new purchase a 68 swb is still standard with the 2 1/4
petrol

Nice standard, easy to work on, parts are plenty n cheap, 2.25
petrol for me ;D as not a daily driver. Loving the chugga
chugga sound :thumbs:

I'm surprised but kinda pleased so many 2.25 petrols are still
chugging along, just goes to show that the "CONVERSION EPIDEMIC"
is a load of bull and there's plenty of originalish motors still
around. :thumbs:

2.5 petrol and LPG here too on TET, although not my daily driver
its currently my only leafer on the road at the mo and was
fitted because I had it and enable me to fit the LPG kit that
came with TET when I first brought him just in time for
Switzerland last year for a bit more oomph and range between
refills using both petrol and LPG (the 2.25 petrol hadn't been
converted to unleaded and LPg would of soon killed the valves
from what I understand)
My swb FFR still has its 2.25 petrol which has been converted to
unleaded but want to keep that as original as possible, got
different Ideas in my head for a leafer replacement for my daily
(ex army coil sprung Tdi converted) drive and this'll probably
end up as a Tdi as well

Well....Dougal fits firmly into the "other" category, but I
wouldn't swap him for anything!
There is also a list of people waiting for me to pop my clogs so
that they can inherit him! rofl

It was very impressive to see a 300TDI being installed in
Ruud109's leafer, but i'll stick with the 2.25 petrol in both my
Landy's.
The 2.25 in my Series 2 could use a fresh-up, but the 5-bearing
in the hicap runs soooooo smooth.

2.25d still in mine and will remain so until its fucked (I'm
working on that) . Gets used a fair bit, anoise (dyswidt) the
hell out of me sometimes but generally I can live with it.
